When words run out.

This is not the post I wanted to have to write today.

Today I hurt. I have no words to console to help understand to explain.

Today I take hold of scripture. I do not care if you agree or disagree with me, because today my spirit cannot settle, my stomach is torn apart, my heart yearns to hold the broken, the poor, the powerless.

We all are refugees of earth as we seek to reach our home in Christ. How can I justify turning a blind eye and saying we cannot do this, we are protecting ourselves, when God let his son come and die for us. Christianity is not an easy path, it is not the way of the world, and fear does not have a place. What does it say of us if we look at a massive undertaking and say it is too big? We are called to have faith of a mustard seed and mountains will move. There is nothing too big for our God.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16

God did not say that he so loved the Americans, the Jews, the women, the children, the men, the short, the tall. He called to THE WORLD, all of it.

So today I hurt. I hurt for the world that is being told they are not worthy of safety, of grace.

I have no answers, all I know is we cannot be casual about taking care of the world. It is the responsibility of us all.

I leave you with this:
